In accordance with the adopted Action Plan for the employment of the city of Belgrade for 2016, the Employment Council conducts in cooperation with the National Employment Service - Branch for the city of Belgrade, the Chamber of Commerce of Belgrade, the Regional Agency for Development and European Integration Belgrade, the City Center for Social Entrepreneurship of Belgrade, the Fund for Development - Branch for the City of Belgrade, the Agency for Insurance and Financing of Exports of the RS, education through organized workshops in order to provide as many interested citizens as possible free elementary knowledge on starting your own business.

Organized by the Belgrade Regional Agency for Development and European Integration (RAREI), on November 23, 2015, a formal event Belgrade-European Region was held in the Belgrade City Assembly.

Small and medium enterprises are the main driver of a country's economy. For this reason, a mentoring program for this type of company has been running in Serbia since 2010, which included 523 users throughout Serbia, until the beginning of last year. In 2015, 98 beneficiaries (87 companies and 11 clusters) received mentoring support.
The program was implemented by the Development Agency of Serbia (former National Agency for Regional Development) in cooperation with the Government of Japan through the Japanese Agency for International Cooperation - JICA. Accordingly, on February 24 in Belgrade, the best mentors of 2015 were announced.

President of the Government of the Republic of Serbia Aleksandar Vučić and Mayor of Belgrade Siniša Mali addressed today the participants of the "Belgrade Investment Days" forum, which officially started the unique business and economic gathering that brought together more than three hundred investors from twenty countries.

This year, the Employment Council is planning a series of new measures and activities in order to support young people who want to start their own business, it was said at today's press conference in the Old Palace.
Council president and member of the City Council Dragomir Petronijević said that a large employment fair will be organized this year, which will be held on April 18.
