The rebalancing of Belgrade's budget was adopted

The Assembly of Belgrade adopted today the rebalancing of the budget for 2014, which will make the budget 76.7 billion dinars.

The rebalancing of the city budget foresees a smaller deficit, which will amount to about 10 percent. The rebalancing was adopted with 65 votes "for" and seven "against".

The mayor of Belgrade, Siniša Mali, said that the budget rebalancing was based on realistic foundations, that the city achieved almost a billion more in revenues this year, and that it will continue with capital investments.

Mali pointed out that the budget rebalancing of Belgrade may be the first time in history since the realized revenues are higher than planned.

- Do by the end of the year, we will halve the budget deficit from 20.25 percent to 10.3 percent - said the mayor and added that the budget revenues were projected on a realistic basis, and were not invented as before, and that maximum savings were introduced on all new ones.

- We inherited 15 billion dinars from the previous government, by the end of the year we will return almost 9.5 billion dinars, and by the end of next year we will return the other 5.5 billion. We reduced the volume of debt by 2.4 billion dinars, and expenses were reduced, while revenues were increased - said Mali.
