Improving employment in Belgrade through an approach based on the specific needs of citizens is the basis of the Employment Action Plan of the City of Belgrade for 2016.
As part of the implementation of the project Establishment and promotion of mentoring services for small and medium-sized enterprises in the area of the Western Balkans, which includes the Republic of Serbia, Montenegro and Bosnia and Herzegovina, the evaluation team of the Japan International Cooperation Agency - JICA conducts the final evaluation of the project, the implementation of which is coming to an end.

In accordance with the adopted Action Plan for the employment of the city of Belgrade for 2016, the Employment Council conducts in cooperation with the National Employment Service - Branch for the city of Belgrade, the Chamber of Commerce of Belgrade, the Regional Agency for Development and European Integration Belgrade, the City Center for Social Entrepreneurship of Belgrade, the Fund for Development - Branch for the City of Belgrade, the Agency for Insurance and Financing of Exports of the RS, education through organized workshops in order to provide as many interested citizens as possible free elementary knowledge on starting your own business.
Organized by the Belgrade Regional Agency for Development and European Integration (RAREI), on November 23, 2015, a formal event Belgrade-European Region was held in the Belgrade City Assembly.

Small and medium enterprises are the main driver of a country's economy. For this reason, a mentoring program for this type of company has been running in Serbia since 2010, which included 523 users throughout Serbia, until the beginning of last year. In 2015, 98 beneficiaries (87 companies and 11 clusters) received mentoring support.
The program was implemented by the Development Agency of Serbia (former National Agency for Regional Development) in cooperation with the Government of Japan through the Japanese Agency for International Cooperation - JICA. Accordingly, on February 24 in Belgrade, the best mentors of 2015 were announced.

By the end of the year, in addition to chapters 23 and 24, which concern fundamental rights, Serbia should also open reform chapters in the negotiations with the EU, which will significantly contribute to the improvement of the public procurement sector, small and medium-sized entrepreneurship and industrial policy, said today the minister in charge of European integration, Jadranka Joksimović.

Secretariat for the Economy of the City of Belgrade in cooperation with the members of the Employment Council of the City of Belgrade, the National Employment Service, Belgrade branch, the Chamber of Commerce of Belgrade, the Regional Agency for Development and Integration Belgrade, the Tourist Organization of Belgrade and the Kolarč Foundation, organizes the First Belgrade Women's Entrepreneurship Fair, which will be held on March 15, 2016 in the Kolarč Foundation, Studentski trg no. 5, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. At 6 p.m., a concert is planned for all visitors and participants of the fair at the Music Gallery of Kolarčev Endowment.

The first Belgrade Women's Entrepreneurship Fair was held on March 15, 2016 in the Kolarč Foundation, organized by the Secretariat for the Economy of the City of Belgrade and members of the City Employment Council: Regional Agency for Development and European Integration Belgrade, National Employment Service, Belgrade branch, Belgrade Chamber of Commerce, Belgrade Tourist Organization.
