The Regional Agency for Development and European Integration, Belgrade, in cooperation with the City of Belgrade and the Development Agency of Serbia, organized the final conference of the "Alphabet for Export" project at the Zira Hotel.
The "Alphabet for Export" project was implemented by RAREI Belgrade with the financial support of the Development Agency of Serbia, as part of the Support Program for Exporters in 2017.
The goal of the project is to create conditions for the internationalization of MSME business at the level of the Belgrade region, and the specific goals of the project are to support the improvement of the export performance of MSMEs in the Belgrade region, to provide preconditions for the development of an export strategy and to network MSMEs with relevant institutions.
In the name of RAREI Belgrade, the director Snežana Radinović addressed the entrepreneurs, who greeted all the participants and those present, thanked the Development Agency of Serbia and the City of Belgrade for their support in the implementation of the "Alphabet for Export" project.
We have a common interest in raising the economy of the city of Belgrade to a higher level, and training micro, small and medium enterprises and entrepreneurs is one of those ways. Training through the "Alphabet for Export" project enabled those entrepreneurs to gain skills and knowledge on how to market their products on the foreign market - pointed out Radinović at the "Zira" hotel. She pointed out that 320 entrepreneurs - beginners in business - applied to the Regional Agency for Development and European Integration "Belgrade" in 2017 alone. According to her, this is a confirmation that there is a need for our businessmen to be supported in a certain phase of their business.
On behalf of the Development Agency of Serbia, Natalija Terzić spoke at the final conference and pointed out that in 2017, the Development Agency of Serbia supported 530 beneficiaries through the programs it implemented. The total amount of granted grants is over 240 million dinars. In 2018, the Development Agency of Serbia will continue with support programs for the MSME sector, Terzićeva pointed out.
