The issue of light pollution and its impact on the environment, human health, and sustainable development was the topic of the project presentation [[nt]]ADRISKY – Advancing Light Pollution Mitigation and Dark Sky Conservation in the Adriatic-Ionian Region[[/nt]], held on June 10, 2026 at the offices of the Regional Agency for Development and European Integration Belgrade (RAREI Belgrade), during a meeting of representatives from regional development agencies in Serbia.
The project was presented by Sonja Manojlović, a member of the RAREI Belgrade project team, who familiarized the participants with the project's objectives, partner consortium, and activities aimed at reducing light pollution and preserving the naturally dark night sky in the Adriatic-Ionian region.
The presentation of the [[nt]]ADRISKY[[/nt]] project allowed participants to become acquainted with innovative approaches and examples of good practice from partner countries, as well as opportunities to apply acquired knowledge in local and regional initiatives focused on environmental protection and sustainable development.
The [[nt]]ADRISKY[[/nt]] project is being implemented within the framework of the [[nt]]Interreg IPA ADRION[[/nt]] program, which aims to strengthen cooperation and territorial cohesion in the Adriatic-Ionian region through joint resolution of developmental, environmental, and social challenges.
