Regional Agency for Development and European Integration, Belgrade, implements the project WOMEX - The Role of Women in the Competitiveness of Exporting SMEs, which is financed through the Interreg Europe program.
The WOMEX project aims to encourage a change in business culture in European regions, so that the competitiveness and sustainable growth of export-oriented small and medium-sized enterprises are inseparable associated with equal opportunities for the women who work or lead them. Partners from seven European regions are working together to exchange experiences, recognize good practices and develop concrete tools to support women in exporting small and medium-sized enterprises, as a response to the long-standing inequality in access to the benefits of the international market.
These measures, combined with advocacy initiatives, have the potential to contribute to real changes and have a long-term positive impact on socioeconomic development and the improvement of business ecosystems.
Previously, the project team held a regional meeting with to key stakeholders in order to present and familiarize them with the project activities.
The leading partner prepared the first draft of a questionnaire for the purposes of analyzing the situation in the field of export-oriented companies managed or owned by women.
The members of the RAREI project team participated in the Introductory Meeting in Barcelona on 8-9. October 2025.
In addition to RAREI Belgrade, the project partner is also the Association of Business Women of Serbia.
