
Belgrade, 07.08.2025. - In the Regional Agency for Development and European Integration, Belgrade, the first regional meeting with stakeholders was held within the project WOMEX - The Role of Women in the Competitiveness of Exporting SMEs,, which is implemented with the support of the Interreg Europe program.
The meeting brought together representatives of key institutions from the national and regional level, who have a significant role in shaping and improving the measures and activities that contribute to improving the export performance of small and medium-sized enterprises.
The meeting was opened by Ivana Bojanić Buser from RAREI Belgrade.
Ivana Petrović from the Association of Business Women of Serbia presented the work of the Association and her experience in empowering female entrepreneurship, while Sonja Manojlović from RAREI Belgrade presented the project, stressing that the goal of the project is to support decision makers in improving public policy instruments and mechanisms in order to integrate the gender perspective. as an element of export competitiveness oriented SMEs.
Ljiljana Marković spoke about the role of RAREI Belgrade in the process of improving public policies at the regional level, emphasizing the importance of cooperation between decision makers and organizations that directly support women in business.
One of the key tools of the project - a questionnaire for small and medium-sized enterprises - was presented by Jelena Vujičić from the Association of Business Women of Serbia. The tool will serve to identify the needs and challenges faced by women entrepreneurs in the SME sector.
Zorica Karavidić from RAREI Belgrade presented current programs and measures to support women's entrepreneurship at the regional level.
Jelena Đorgović from the Ministry of European Integration particularly emphasized the importance of using the educational platform that is available within the Interreg Europe program, as a tool for exchanging knowledge, examples of good practices and additional empowerment of all actors involved in the development process and implementation of public policies.
In the final part of the meeting, the role of stakeholders in the creation of public policies was discussed, and certain proposals were presented for the improvement of measures to support women in export-oriented small and medium-sized enterprises.
