The proposal of the Local Employment Action Plan of the City of Belgrade for 2015 was adopted

At the fourth session of the City of Belgrade Employment Council, the proposal of the Local Employment Action Plan of the City of Belgrade for 2015 was unanimously adopted.

The session was attended by the President of the Council, member of the City Council, Dragomir Petronijević and Deputy President of the Council Sandra Pantelić, Head of the City Administration of the City of Belgrade, all members of the Council, representatives of relevant institutions such as the National Employment Service - Directorate Belgrade, Regional Development Agency and European integrations Belgrade, the Secretariat for Social Protection, the City Center for Social Entrepreneurship of Belgrade, the Secretariat for Finance, the Secretariat for Sports and Youth, the United Trade Unions of Serbia "Sloga" and the Chamber of Commerce of Belgrade.

- The City of Belgrade has not had a Council for Employment of the City of Belgrade since 2010, and this year the Employment Council was finally formed at the City level with the aim of systematically and plannedly solving the problem of unemployment - he pointed out. Petronijević.

According to him, this local action the plan includes programs and measures of active policy to encourage employment and self-employment in the territory of the city of Belgrade, responsibilities and competences, methods of financing, dynamics of execution, monitoring measures, and after adoption will be published on the official internet presentation of the City of Belgrade.

- City of Belgrade, the development of a local action plan cost zero dinars, the implementation of the LAPZ includes relevant institutions that will implement programs and measures of active employment policy related to the improvement of labor market institutions, encouraging employment through subsidies, increasing the competence of the workforce through additional education and training, support for the development of entrepreneurship and small and medium-sized enterprises, special measures to encourage the employment of persons with disabilities, as well as measures to activate the unemployed - stated Petronijević.

According to the City Secretary for the Economy Tijana Maljković, next year, by adopting the Local Action Plan for Employment, the City of Belgrade will gain the conditions to use, in addition to its funds, the funds of the Republic of Serbia for programs of public works, professional internships and the program of acquiring practical knowledge.

- We expect that with these measures in cooperation with the National employment service of Belgrade to employ about 70 unemployed persons from the NES records and that about 90 people will go through the vocational training program. The Secretariat for the Economy will implement these programs within the LAPZ in 2015 and continue with the programs of awarding subsidies to small and medium-sized economic entities for capacity building, with the obligation to employ unemployed persons - stated Maljković.

Nikola Vučeljić, director of the Regional Agency for Development and European Integration Belgrade, reminded that RAREI successfully completed training in the City Administration for writing and implementing EU projects.

- RAREI, too, in 2015, he plans similar or the same trainings for the coordination team of all utility companies and institutions, as well as training for all 17 municipalities, if the conditions are created for it. Also, there is a plan to provide training and implementation for micro and macro medium-sized enterprises and entrepreneurs together with the Chamber of Commerce of Belgrade, and to provide funds for training and grants for starting a business - Nikola Vučeljić pointed out.

According to Sandra Pantelić, the City of Belgrade will, with the coordination of its relevant institutions, systematically implement the LAPZ program and thus ensure better control over the implementation of projects and spending of budget funds.

- Council for the employment of the city of Belgrade will, according to the established dynamics, begin the implementation of the program and measures of the active employment policy within the LAPZ in 2015, the work of which will be informed to the public through a public inspection of the Report on the work of the Council for the Employment of the City of Belgrade - pointed out at the end Petronijević.
