The Local Employment Action Plan for 2017 was adopted

City councilors adopted the Local Employment Action Plan of the City of Belgrade for 2017.

According to Dragomir Petronijević, a member of the City Council and President of the City Council for Employment, the City of Belgrade's efforts to employ young entrepreneurs have achieved full success, and even better results are expected next year.

- We managed to create a non-financial assistance product that helps future entrepreneurs to to the necessary funds. We trained our fellow citizens in the "Knowledge to the Goal" and "Information to the Goal" workshops, and the direct result of that effort is the fact that about 280 million dinars were withdrawn for start-up loans. In all of this, we cooperated with all relevant institutions, the Development Fund, the Development Agency, the Secretariat for the Economy and others - said Petronijević.

According to him, young entrepreneurs at the competition were given premises for free use for the next two years, which is the first time that entrepreneurship has been encouraged in this way in Belgrade.

- We want to organize training for a well-known employer and this is a novelty that we have started to implement during the current year. About twenty days ago, we started training for people who are more difficult to employ, so 87 people with disabilities will receive training in programming, all for a well-known employer. There are also women from the safe house, who will also receive the necessary training and find employment more easily. In the coming period, we will continue with the already known workshops and, together with young entrepreneurs, we will send proposals to the competent ministries in order to achieve the full effect that the Employment Council needs to fulfill - Petronijević pointed out.
