Certificates of participation in the educational workshop "Knowledge to the Goal", attended by 558 candidates, were handed out today in the Old Palace.
City Council member and President of the Employment Council of the City of Belgrade Dragomir Petronijević said that this is only the first step in the implementation of the Local Employment Action Plan this year.
- 558 citizens attended the training, and today we distributed 360 degrees. Due to the great interest, we will continue this kind of education. For all those who want to start their own business or who are already working and have some problems, there are republican and city institutions from which they can get all the information, and they can also make suggestions. I hope that in this way we will improve economic development in Belgrade, but also in Serbia. We are continuing the implementation of the Local Investment Plan, and by the end of the month we will announce a competition for business incubators. We have started a pilot project of organic production in Barajevo, where we want to create a cluster, to unite as many farmers as possible - pointed out Petronijević.
According to his words, apart from the creative industry and the IT sector, there was also the most interest in agriculture.
- We want to educate them to produce organic food because that way they will be more competitive on the market. Since our producers have small plots, the advice is to refocus on expensive products and thus survive on the market - said Petronijević.
Secretary for Economy Tijana Maljković expressed satisfaction that the workshops that were organized in March were completed and that they were attended by people eager for knowledge.
- In May, an employment fair organized by the City of Belgrade will be organized in the Youth Center. A large number of domestic and foreign companies will attend it. In April and May, the Secretariat for the Economy provides subsidies and incentives for organic production, beekeepers, and training. All information will be on the website of the Secretariat for the Economy and the website of the City of Belgrade - stated Tijana Maljković.
The Employment Council of the City of Belgrade, through the implementation of the Employment Action Plan, introduced the participants in workshops to the legal forms of establishment, tax and other financial obligations, writing a business plan, the procedures of the Development Fund for loans for beginners and start-up loans, other possible sources of financing available on our market, as well as communication strategies and business communication skills.
The event was also attended by representatives of the Regional Agency for Development and European Integration of Belgrade, the National Employment Service - Branch for the City of Belgrade, the Development Fund, the City Center for Social Entrepreneurship and the Chamber of Commerce Belgrade.
