
Gymnasium "Sveti Sava" celebrates 111 years of existence this year.
It was founded in September 1910 by the decision of the then Minister of Education of the Kingdom of Yugoslavia as the Serbian Royal Fourth Gymnasium. During its history, the name of the school changed several times, and it has had its current name since March 25, 1992. In the school year for students with special abilities, a major for computer science and informatics was introduced. According to all standards of educational practice, "Sveti Sava" Gymnasium is a modern school with professional teaching staff. Many prominent writers, directors, journalists, politicians, actors and other public figures were students of this school, among them the Serbian patriarch Mr. Pavle, Momo Kapor and the mayor of Belgrade Aleksandar Bakočević.
The school actively supports students and their interests through various extracurricular activities and school sections, and the student company introduces them to entrepreneurial business. Therefore, it is not surprising that the interest and application for participation in the piloting of ILS - an innovative learning program on social entrepreneurship of the InnoSchool project, which brings learning about this modern concept to young people in a fun and interactive way.
With the support of director Ljiljana Vurdelje, the program is implemented with the guidance and coordination of teachers Dragice Gnjatović and Darko Bajić.
