
The Mayor of Belgrade Siniša Mali and the Director General of NIS Kiril Kravchenko signed today in the Old Palace the Agreement on cooperation between NIS a.d. Novi Sad and the City of Belgrade, on the basis of which this company will continue to invest in Belgrade as part of the "Communities Together" program.
Expressing his satisfaction with the signing of the agreement, Siniša Mali reminded that the "Communities Together" program has been implemented for the third year in a row.
- The City of Belgrade is part of that program and in the previous two years we received 40 million dinars from NIS, and that money was spent on a large number of projects, including video and audio. equipment for the "Boško Buha" theater, parks and playgrounds in Belgrade and Obrenovac and many others - pointed out the mayor of Belgrade.
Siniša Mali invited Belgrade citizens and citizen associations to nominate their projects.
- We want citizens to propose projects that will contribute to the development of their neighborhood and communities, regardless of whether it is sports, culture, education, environmental protection or some other projects. This year we again have 20 million dinars and the possibility to apply for even more projects. I want us to do that and to use these funds to make our city even more beautiful - said Siniša Mali.
He pointed out that the cooperation with NIS so far has been more than good and that this company is working together with the city on a large number of investments.
- We want to finish the renovation project of all NIS gas stations as soon as possible and we will continue to do it together. That's why I want to thank Mr. Kravchenko and NIS for supporting such projects in Belgrade and Serbia and for wanting to contribute with their means to make our city a better place to live - said the mayor of Belgrade.
The General Director of NIS Kiril Kravchenko praised the current management of the City of Belgrade, reminding that more has been done in the past year alone than in the previous ten years.
- I am sure that in the social sense we are working in the right direction, we also have plans for the future and I believe that we will be even better in the future. I thank the citizens of Belgrade for supporting our work and I assure you that the NIS, as before, will continue to set an example of social responsibility - said Kravchenko.
The signing of the agreement was attended by the Deputy Mayor of Belgrade Andreja Mladenović, the City Secretaries for Social Protection and Communal and Housing Affairs, Nataša Stanisavljević and Nina Jandrić, Director of the Information Service of the City of Belgrade Mirjana Pavičić, Director of the Institute for the Protection of Cultural Monuments of the City of Belgrade Nela Mićović, director of the "Boško Buha" Theater Milorad Mandić and representatives of the NIS management.
