The Mayor of Belgrade Siniša Mali visited today the second Belgrade Employment and Internship Fair, where 80 companies offered 2,000 new jobs.
The mayor pointed out that this employment fair is one of the most successful city projects.
- Last year at this fair, out of 1,700 jobs offered, 1,500 citizens found work in just one day. This year, 2,000 jobs will be offered, with different profiles and qualification levels, which is why we expect even more people to find employment. With that, this fair fully justifies its existence, especially when it comes to the employment of young people - pointed out Mali.
He stated that the City of Belgrade will continue to support business entities in the capital, in order to increase their competitiveness, expand capacities and employ as many citizens as possible.
- This year we also have record subsidies. Currently, a public call for subsidies to farmers is underway, in May we will start a public call for subsidies for projects in tourism, women's entrepreneurship, as well as for small and medium-sized enterprises, and this is a policy that the city will not give up on - said Mali and thanked the cooperation of the National Employment Service and the Belgrade Chamber of Commerce for the successful implementation of this project. Maljković, Director of the National Employment Service Zoran Martinović, President of the Belgrade Chamber of Commerce Milivoje Miletić and Acting Director of Dom omladine Belgrade Nenad Dragović, where the fair is held.
