
Representatives of the Regional Development Agency for Economic Development and European Integration of Belgrade, Sonja Manojlović and Anđela Nikolić, participated in the 5th project partner meeting of [[nt]]ADRISKY – Advancing Light Pollution Mitigation for Biodiversity and Nocturnal Habitats Conservation in the Adriatic-Ionian Region[[/nt]], which was held on September 29th and 30th, 2026, in Mantua, Italy.
On the first day of the meeting, partners presented the progress of project implementation, the status of project activities, and the results within work package [[nt]]WP2[[/nt]]. A special part of the meeting was dedicated to presenting key areas of intervention, territorial action plans, and pilot activity plans, followed by a joint discussion on the upcoming implementation of pilot activities.
On behalf of RAREI, Sonja Manojlović presented the results of the work within [[nt]]WP2[[/nt]], including key intervention areas in Belgrade, the Territorial Action Plan, and the Pilot Activity Plan, with a focus on identified challenges and planned measures and activities for light pollution mitigation.
On the second day of the meeting, as part of [[nt]]WP3 – Activity 3.2 Policy Recommendations[[/nt]], Sonja Manojlović presented the methodology for developing comprehensive policy recommendations ([[nt]]Comprehensive Policy Recommendations Report – D3.2.1[[/nt]]). The development process for the recommendations was presented – from defining the problem and considering potential options, through selecting the appropriate solution and identifying the responsible institutions, to formulating concrete recommendations, advocacy, and their integration into public policies and practice.
Special attention on the second day of the meeting was devoted to communication, dissemination, and capitalization of results, developing synergies, and networking, as well as agreeing on the next steps for the project.
As part of the program, a study visit was also organized to [[nt]]Rivalta sul Mincio[[/nt]], a pilot area for the [[nt]]ADRISKY[[/nt]] project, during which partners had the opportunity to learn about the characteristics of the protected area and the local context in which project activities are being implemented.
The [[nt]]ADRISKY – Advancing Light Pollution Mitigation for Biodiversity and Nocturnal Habitats Conservation in the Adriatic-Ionian Region[[/nt]] project is being implemented under the [[nt]]Interreg IPA ADRION[[/nt]] program, with the aim of improving approaches to reducing light pollution and protecting biodiversity and nocturnal habitats in the Adriatic-Ionian region.
