Director of the Regional Agency for Development and European Integration Belgrade (RAREI) Mr. Nikola Vučeljić and Director of the Poractive Programs and Advisory Services Sector (FCG) Mr. Miko Kurvi signed a Cooperation Agreement in Belgrade.
The majority owner of FCG is the Association of Finnish Local and Regional Authorities (96%), which encourages opportunities for the work and cooperation of local authorities and strengthening their vitality and sustainability for the benefit of the population. The company FCG on behalf of the association of Finnish regional and local authorities carries out work in the field of public sector development, management consulting, maintenance of multi-sector training and urbanism as well as reconstruction and construction of facilities.
The subject of this Agreement is the provision of mechanisms for technical cooperation between FCG, RAREI in order to develop joint activities with the aim of achieving, first of all, the most successful cooperation between the Republic of Serbia and Finland, through the transfer of best practices in the field of management of local governments and public enterprises, effective and efficient international management infrastructure projects, as well as the building of institutional capacities.
In addition, this Cooperation Agreement is concluded with the intention of encouraging cooperation with the Association of Finnish Local and Regional Authorities (Suomen Kuntaliitto), which was formed by cities and municipalities from Finland, with the aim of encouraging opportunities for the work and cooperation of local authorities in Finland and the Republic of Serbia, as well as strengthening their vitality for the benefit of the population.
