The goal of the project call of the Cluster Excellence Program (Clusters Excellence program) is to strengthen the management of clusters with the aim of enabling a more professional business service to European small and medium-sized enterprises.
In order to achieve excellence in cluster management, clusters should enable support for their members and develop a strategic approach towards the development of innovation, growth and globalization challenges faced by small and medium-sized enterprises.
Results of this call will help clusters to provide services more efficiently and develop strategic plans to generate greater added value for their members, including diverse cooperation of clusters across Europe.
This call also aims to promote learning between clusters, with a special emphasis on the inclusion of clusters from regions with different levels of economic development, as well as clusters at different stages of development and experience.
The deadline for electronic submission of the project is 31 March 2016 at 5 pm (Brussels time).
Participants
The call is intended for clusters or business associations that enable innovation support, especially for small and medium-sized enterprises. Applicants must be established in the member states of the COSME program.
Each consortium wishing to participate must consist of a minimum of three legal entities from at least three member states of the COSME program. The consortium must consist of at least two partners that are established in regions that are underdeveloped or in transition according to the EU classification. Likewise, the consortium must include at least two partners who do not have the "Cluster Excellence Mark" or only have the "Bronze Cluster Excellence Mark".
Applicants can submit only one project proposal in this call.
