Panel "New institutional instruments for SMEs support"

At the panel "New institutional instruments for SMEs support" within the "Belgrade Venture" forum, representatives of the City of Belgrade, the Secretariat for the Economy, the Regional Agency for Development and European Integration Belgrade, as well as the Belgrade Science and Technology Park presented the programs and measures implemented in previous years, as well as the plans for the development of support for innovations and IT technologies within the sector of micro, small and medium enterprises, entrepreneurship for the year 2016.

The City of Belgrade has been implementing programs since 2008 support for the development of the competitiveness of small and medium-sized enterprises and the reduction of unemployment. In the period of six years, there were a total of 5,000 direct beneficiaries of the mentioned measures, while in 2015, the number of direct beneficiaries of the Active Employment Policy and Support for the MSME sector exceeded 5,000 beneficiaries.

- The City of Belgrade plans to finance the 10 best innovative ideas in the field of innovation and IT technologies in 2016 and to finance operating costs for selected start-up companies, which will become tenants of "Naučno" in 2016. technology park Belgrade" - pointed out Tanja Popović, assistant secretary of the Secretariat for Economy.

Regional Agency for Development and European Integration Belgrade will provide training programs for writing and drafting a business plan within the aforementioned program, in order to enable all interested persons to apply for the aforementioned competition and shape and present their business idea in the right way.

- Encouraging news for the MSME sector is the fact that the COSME Agreement was signed to support the competitiveness of the Serbian economy, between of the Republic of Serbia and the European Union, which confirmed the participation of our country in Program for the competitiveness of small and medium-sized enterprises until 2020 - emphasized Snežana Radinović, director of the Regional Agency for Development and European Integration Belgrade.

As part of the presentation of the NTP Belgrade, the new technology core of the City was presented, which gathers technological development companies, domestic and foreign, and encourages the establishment of start-up companies, creating a favorable environment for innovation, technological development and competitiveness.

At the end of the panel, two examples of good practice were presented, members of the Scientific and Technological park Belgrade, "Strawberry Energy" and "Eon plus", who shared their positive experiences of staying in NTP Belgrade.
