
Minister of Finance Siniša Mali and President of the Chamber of Commerce of Serbia Marko Čadež in the Palace of Serbia presented a package of economic measures to mitigate the consequences on the economy due to the COVID 19 pandemic, worth 5.1 billion euros.
"This program protects people, jobs, production, liquidity - it protects the backbone of the economy", assessed Čadež and told businessmen that the PKS will continue to be available to them 24 hours a day, seven days a week weeks for all questions, help in solving everyday problems and in constant communication with the government for more effective implementation of measures. In the next ten days, the Government of Serbia will adopt a regulation, i.e. bring a legal framework for the implementation of the program to support the economy, and the payment of the minimum amount will be in mid-May, announced Mali.
The program includes tax incentives, direct assistance to the private sector for the payment of compensation to employees, measures to preserve liquidity in the private sector, other incentives aimed at supporting the economy to more easily overcome problems in business caused by the COVID 19 pandemic, as well as support of 100 euros to every adult citizen.
