The InnoSchool project and the Regional Agency for Development and European Integration Belgrade are organizing a promotional online event "Meet InnoSchool" on Friday, February 25, starting at 2 p.m. and its main element - a serious game, results and impressions of the piloting of this Program in ten Belgrade secondary schools, whose application in teaching meant playing an educational game and learning in a fun way. We will also discuss the upcoming steps towards the implementation of this free educational tool in secondary schools in the coming school years.
What is InnoSchool?
InnoSchool is an international project that deals with the need to introduce systemic changes in secondary school education necessary to strengthen the entrepreneurial culture and increase the engagement of young people in the field of social innovation and entrepreneurship. The project is implemented within the Intereg Danube Transnational Program (DTP) in nine European countries. The Regional Agency for Development and European Integration (RAREI) Belgrade implements the project in Serbia as a partner, with the participation and support of the Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development of the Republic of Serbia as a strategic partner (you can read more about the project here).
What is ILS?
ILS is an entrepreneurship and social entrepreneurship learning program that combines traditional classroom teaching methods with an online serious game (InnoSchool game) and thus helps create the next generation of social entrepreneurs and innovators. In piloting ILS during 2020/2021. school year, 350 students and 26 teachers from 10 Belgrade secondary schools participated, who for the first time applied this tool in teaching and tested its effect on the development and education of students in the field of entrepreneurship, social entrepreneurship and social innovation. ILS has been piloted as part of regular classes or as an extracurricular activity. In accordance with the previous knowledge, the students chose the basic or advanced level within the game; the game then gradually led them through 5 ie. 6 levels (educational units) and referred to the challenges and needs of modern society, the basics of social entrepreneurship and all segments important for the work of a social enterprise, i.e. creation of a business/business plan of conceived socio-business ideas.
We invite secondary schools, principals and teachers throughout Serbia, as well as all interested parties, to register for this event through this LINK.
