
The first Belgrade women's entrepreneurship fair was held on March 15, 2016 in the Kolarč Foundation, organized by the Secretariat for the Economy of the City of Belgrade and members of the City Employment Council: Regional Agency for Development and European Integration Belgrade, National Employment Service, Belgrade branch, Chamber of Commerce of Belgrade, Tourist Organization of Belgrade.
The fair gathered 48 companies owned by women with the aim of promoting their products and services in order to motivated other potential entrepreneurs to start their own business.
The Women's Entrepreneurship Fair was opened by the Mayor of Belgrade, Siniša Mali, and on that occasion he pointed out that this manifestation confirms "that we are on the right path to ensure gender equality in business as well". The mayor also pointed out that women entrepreneurs in 2016 can equally apply for total city subsidies intended for entrepreneurship in the amount of 62 million dinars and emphasized that single parents have an advantage in receiving these incentives.
Representatives of the Regional Agency for Development and European Integration Belgrade, Ljiljana Marković and Nikola Vujinović presented to the ladies present the programs and trainings that the Agency will conduct free of charge in 2016, for which they can equally to apply, as well as sources of financing for business improvement and development.
