Training and work for young people without experience

Company Delhaize Serbia (Delez Serbia) for the third year in a row, is announcing a competition for young people without work experience under the name Retail management training program. The program lasts two years and is intended for young people who want to build their career in sales, training in the positions of shift leader, deputy manager and manager of a retail store. The program starts in August, and the selected candidates are employed from the first day of the program.

After two years of familiarization with all segments of retail, candidates are offered the opportunity to continue their career in the operations sector or another sector in the Delez Serbia directorate. Candidate application requirements include a minimum of a sixth-level vocational education, and the deadline for sending resumes is May 4, 2014.

"We live in a time when it is difficult to get the opportunity to gain work experience, and unemployment is one of the pressing problems of society. That is why we proudly point out that the Delez Serbia company offers young people the chance to get an internship right from the bench. In addition, we want to tell young people with our educational programs that hard work and effort are rewarded, so everyone who is part of the program is employed from the beginning, and those who perform best will have the opportunity to build their career in an international company," said Sanja Jevđenijević, vice president for human resources at Delez Serbia.
From the previous two generations of program participants in Serbia, 15 young and talented people are today successfully building their careers towards managerial and leadership positions in the company. This program is implemented in the countries where Delhaize Group operates with the aim of returning the focus to sales as a place of direct communication with customers and giving young and ambitious people the chance to gain work experience and build their career at the point of sale.
