The first [[nt]]newsletter for the CAMPUS project – Digital Campuses for European Resilience,[[/nt]] has been published, providing an overview of the most important activities, results, and partner experiences during the project's implementation so far. The project is funded by the Interreg Europe program and brings together 10 partners from seven European countries working together to strengthen digital resilience and improve regional policies.
Titled [[nt]]“Building digital resilience, region by region”[[/nt]], the first edition of the newsletter presents the project's progress to date – from territorial analyses and identifying the needs of partner regions, through interregional exchange of experiences and good practices, to preparations for the next phase of the project.
One of the central themes of the newsletter is the results of territorial analyses conducted using the [[nt]]SCORE methodology – Strengths, Challenges, Options, Responses and Effectiveness[[/nt]]. The analyses showed that European regions are at different levels of digital maturity, but also that they share a number of common needs: better coordination between public institutions, the private sector, research organizations, and support organizations; the development of digital and cybersecurity skills; more accessible support for small and medium-sized enterprises and public institutions; greater awareness and preparedness for digital risks; as well as more resilient public services and digital infrastructure.
The [[nt]]newsletter[[/nt]] also features experiences from partner regions in Brittany and North-East Romania, which demonstrate different approaches to strengthening digital resilience. The Brittany [[nt]]Cyber Campus[[/nt]] model is presented, which connects public institutions, companies, researchers, educational institutions, and support organizations, as well as activities in North-East Romania focused on cybersecurity and connecting the economy, public administration, healthcare, education, the academic sector, and technology companies.
The partners of the [[nt]]CAMPUS[[/nt]] project met online on June 17, 2026, to exchange 11 examples of good practice from different parts of Europe. The practices cover the areas of education, public sector support, infrastructure, collaboration, and data-driven policymaking.
The first newsletter also presents introductory video for the [[nt]]CAMPUS[[/nt]] project, which explores the topic of digital resilience, partnerships, and the interregional learning process that connects territorial analysis, the exchange of best practices, and the improvement of regional policies.
In the next phase of the project, the focus will be on assessing the possibilities for adapting best practices to the needs of individual regions, taking into account alignment with regional policies and governance models, funding opportunities, stakeholder involvement, available skills and capacities, and long-term sustainability.
The upcoming, third meeting of the [[nt]] CAMPUS project partners will be held on September 22 and 23, 2026, in Tampere, Finland, where partners will discuss which best practices address the challenges of their regions and what conditions are necessary for their adaptation.
