We are pleased to invite you to join the conference "VIA ISTER - Roads of the Romans along the Danube" which project ISTER and the Regional Agency for Development and European Integration Belgrade are organizing on Tuesday, December 27, 2022 from 11 a.m. in the Nebojšina tower, Kalemegdan Donji grad, Belgrade.
The international project "Connecting the Danube region with historical Roman routes - ISTER" aims to rediscover and restore the ancient network of Roman roads and settlements along the Danube region. ISTER promotes this network of roads and settlements as an opportunity to strengthen the territorial competitiveness and sustainable growth of the Danube region through the creation of a new VIA ISTER eco-cultural route - Roads of the Romans along the Danube!
During the conference we will present the activities and results of the ISTER project, realized in the previous two years of its implementation:
During the event, representatives of the Archaeological Institute Belgrade, The Institute for the Protection of Cultural Monuments of Sremska Mitrovica, the National Museum of Užice, the Port Management Agency, the Belgrade Fortress and the Center for Urban Development from Belgrade will present similar projects and initiatives that promote the Roman and natural cultural heritage and its potential for tourism development in the Danube Region and other parts of Serbia.
