What is mentoring? Mentoring is a comprehensive process of supporting companies (business companies) and entrepreneurs who are at a crucial moment for their further development or for survival in general. The mentoring process represents a certain number of hours that the professional mentor spends in direct contact/work with the shop or business owner. The mentor's work begins with the diagnosis. The company and the mentor study together the reasons for current problems or obstacles to further development. Based on the diagnosis, the mentor and the entrepreneur/company prepare a development plan/project. During this process, the mentor works as an assistant, but also as a coordinator and advisor. The National Agency for Regional Development has standardized mentoring as a service within the implementation of the project "Institutionalization of mentoring as a service for MSMEs", financed by the Government of Japan through the Japan International Cooperation Agency - JICA. The mentoring program in 2014 is an integral part of the new Project "Establishment and promotion of mentoring services for SMEs in the countries of the Western Balkans - Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Montenegro", which is being implemented by NARR in cooperation with the Government of Japan through the Japanese Agency for International Cooperation - JICA. The Project in question is the first of a regional nature financed by the Government of Japan and is being implemented in the period 2013-2016. year.
