Conference on the Future of Europe "Circular Economy, Employment and Digitization"

The Ministry of European Integration organized the conference "Circular economy, employment and digitization in the light of the Conference on the Future of Europe", on Wednesday, March 23, 2022, starting at 10 a.m.

In the introductory panel, Jadranka Joksimović, Minister for European Integration of the Republic of Serbia, and Darija Kisić Tepavčević, Minister for work, employment, veterans and social issues, Pierre Cauchard, Ambassador of the Republic of France to the Republic of Serbia (as the presiding country Council of the EU), Emanuele Žiofre, head of the Delegation of the European Union in the Republic of Serbia, Nataša Dragojlović, coordinator of the National Convention on the European Union and Mihailo Vesović, director of the Sector for Strategic Analysis, Services and Internationalization at the Serbian Chamber of Commerce.

Although Serbia is not a member of the European Union and the citizens of the Western Balkans are not fully involved in the activities arising from the initiative of the Conference on the Future of Europe, according to the Minister for European Integration Jadranka Joksimović, this is not a reason not to discuss all issues in our society topics concerning the future of our continent. The goal of this gathering is to encourage public dialogue on topics related to the development of the EU, as well as more active involvement of citizens in building a common European the future. The topics - circular economy, employment and digitization, were selected as some of the priority topics defined by the European Union as key for its own future.

At the first expert panel "Stronger economy, social justice and jobs", the participants were addressed by Sandra Grujičić, Assistant Minister, Ministry of Labour, Employment, Veterans and Social Affairs, Sector for Labor and Employment, Snežana Radinović, Director of the Regional Agency for Development and European Integration, Belgrade, Darko Burčul - Infostud, Predrag Stošić - Radanska ruza, social enterprise, successful example from practice - EU PRO project, as well as online participants Sanja Paunović, Federation of Independent Trade Unions of Serbia, Čedanka Andrić president of the trade union "Nezavisnost", Srđan Drobnjaković director of the Union of Employers of Serbia, Valentina Ivanić coordinator of the working group for Chapter 22, National Convention on the EU, Nataša Vučković foundation "Center for Democracy", National Convention on the EU and Luka Marošanin Student Conference University of Serbia.

At the second expert panel "Circular economy and employment", the participants were addressed by Dragan Ugrčić, assistant minister of the Ministry of Economy, assistant. Ph.D. Maja Đolić Faculty of Technology and Metallurgy, Marko Milačić Suez Serbia, Nataša Gligorijević Center for Sustainable Development of Serbia, coordinator of the intersectoral working group for sustainable development, National Convention on the European Union, as well as online participants Bojana Milutinović "Elixir group" - successful example from practice, Aleksandar Pavlović Euro spin Vranje, successful example from practice - EU PRO project, Branislav Milosav Sector for regional development and projects - RCR Banat, project manager "Circle", Marko Radić Student Parliament of the University of Belgrade, Pavle Medić CEVES, National Convention on the European Union.

The third expert panel "Digitalization and employment" was addressed by Milan Dobrijević, State Secretary in the Ministry of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications and coordinator of Cluster 3, Nikolas Rabrenović, co-founder of the company "Kushim" and president of "La French Tech" in Serbia - a successful example of cooperation between the Republic of France and the Republic of Serbia, Jean-Christophe Bonis, French futurist, partner in "Nextcorpo" and founder of "Team4Ukraine", Ivana Kostić, Fund for Innovation Activities, Danilo Hinić, representative of the company ENEL PS, a successful example from practice, as well as online panelists Vladan Jeremic, director of the Regional Agency for the Development of Eastern Serbia (RARIS), regional digital tourism platform "Visit East Serbia", Tomislav Knežević GIZ, project leader "Development of the private sector in Serbia", Nikola Marković, coordinator of the working group for Chapter 10, the National Convention on the European Union and Mladen Stanić, Youth Network of Serbia.
