Public call for support in solving housing issues and infrastructure in Roma settlements

The Ministry of Finance, Sector for contracting and financing of programs from EU funds, published a public call for support in solving housing issues and infrastructure in Roma settlements.

The general goal of the program is to contribute to the smart, sustainable and inclusive growth of the Republic of Serbia, through the improvement of social protection policy and the promotion of social inclusion of vulnerable groups, while improving living standards in accordance with the goals of the Europe 2020 strategy.

The specific goal of the program is to support the implementation of the Strategy improving the status of Roma in the Republic of Serbia, through a sustainable and inclusive approach to solving housing issues of men, women and families and improving physical infrastructure in selected Roma settlements.

Activities should last for a period of 12 to 20 months.

Activities relate to:

• Social housing,
• Social housing in protected areas,
• Social inclusion and integration and accompanying activities.

Activities should include, among other things:

• Development of permanent housing solutions,
• Improving access to Roma settlements,
• Development of physical infrastructure.

The project proposal is submitted in two phases. In the first phase, the Concept note is being developed, the deadline for submission is September 9, 2016
