Public call for grants under the Small Business Support Program for the purchase of equipment in 2022

The Ministry of Economy in cooperation with the Development Agency of Serbia and with the support of the "Serbia and EU - Equipment for the Economy" project funded by the European Union, awards grants to micro and small businesses, entrepreneurs and cooperatives.

Total grants amount to about 3.1 billion dinars.

The Ministry of Economy provided the amount of 1.9 billion dinars, and the European Union provided grants and technical support for the implementation of the project in the total amount of 11 million euros.

The goal of the Program is to support investments and encourage faster economic development.

The funds allocated by the Program are intended for the co-financing of the purchase of:

  1. new equipment directly involved in the production process of tradable goods, namely:
    1. production equipment and/or machines;
    2. transport and manipulative means included in production process and internal transport;
    3. parts, specialized tools for machines;
    4. machines and equipment for improving energy efficiency and ecological aspects of production;
  2. new equipment for construction works, namely:
    1. construction mechanization for the needs of construction works.

The program is implemented by the Ministry of Economy in cooperation with Development Agency of Serbia and selected commercial banks and leasing companies:

  8. UNICREDIT LEASING Srbija d.o.o. Belgrade

The following have the right to apply for the contest for the allocation of grants:

1) legal entities, registered in APR as business companies, or cooperatives, which are classified into micro and small legal entities in accordance with the Law on Accounting ("Official Gazette of RS", no. 73/19 and 44/21 - Dr. Law) according to the financial reports for the year 2020;

2) entrepreneurs registered in the APR.

Economic entities that fulfill the conditions of the Program and are conditionally approved by the banks, i.e. leasing companies involved in the implementation of the Program, can exercise the right to co-financing up to 25% of the net value of the equipment being purchased. The participation of business entities amounts to 5% of the total value of the equipment, while the rest is secured from loans from commercial banks or financial leasing from leasing companies involved in the implementation of this Program.

The amount of grants that can be awarded to a business entity is determined in relation to the number of permanent employees as of December 31, 2021, according to the records of the Central Register of Mandatory Social Insurance: 1 employee - up to 1.0 million RSD, 2-5 employees - up to 2.5 million RSD, 6 and more employees - up to 5.0 million RSD.

The public call is open until the available funds are used up, and no later than 31.12.2022.

Applications for the allocation of grants, together with other documentation and requests for credit or financial leasing, are submitted or delivered electronically in one of the branches/branches of commercial banks and leasing companies that participate in the implementation of this program.
