PUBLIC CALL for the allocation of grants under the FINANCIAL SUPPORT PROGRAM FOR FURNITURE PRODUCTION AND WOOD PROCESSING IN 2026

The Ministry of Economy, in cooperation with the Development Fund of the Republic of Serbia, is implementing the Program of financial support for furniture manufacturing and wood processing in 2026, based on the Republic of Serbia's strategic commitment to strengthening domestic production and fostering the development of processing capacities to offer consumers high-quality local products.

This program represents a concrete support measure for small and micro enterprises in the furniture manufacturing and wood processing sectors that wish to improve their production through the purchase of modern equipment, the introduction of new technologies, and increased energy efficiency. In this way, conditions are created for higher productivity, increased competitiveness, and greater market success.

The total available grant funds for the implementation of the Program amount to 50,000,000.00 dinars.

The objectives of the Program are focused on:

strengthening the processing industry,
increasing the added value of domestic products,
encouraging entrepreneurship,
contributing to sustainable and balanced economic development.

Eligible participants include:

micro and small legal entities and cooperatives registered no later than December 31, 2024;
entrepreneurs registered no later than December 31, 2024;
newly established entrepreneurs and micro and small enterprises registered from January 1, 2024.

The funds are intended for the co-financing of:

new or used production equipment (up to five years old),
delivery vehicles and transport equipment used for production purposes,
permanent working capital (up to 20% of the investment),
adaptation and improvement of production space (up to 700,000.00 RSD),
purchase of computer equipment and software licenses.

Business entities can receive grants covering up to 40% of the investment value, or up to 50% for those in local government units classified as third or fourth group of development, thereby providing additional support to less developed areas and creating conditions for stronger local economic growth.

The remaining portion of the investment is to be provided from own funds or through a Development Fund loan.

The Fund's loan will be granted under the following terms:

loan amount: up to 1,200,000.00 RSD;
repayment period of up to 60 months, including a grace period of up to 12 months;
interest rate: 2.5% per annum with a currency clause
collateral:

pledge on the equipment/vehicle being financed or on other existing equipment of equal or greater value,
promissory note from the business entity,
personal promissory note from the founder. In cases with multiple founders, all founders must provide their own blank promissory notes, except for those with less than 5% ownership stake or those who are foreign individuals or legal entities,
contractual guarantee from legal entities and entrepreneurs,
contractual guarantee from an individual,
life insurance policy for startup beneficiaries aged 60 or older.

The client may also offer other forms of collateral in accordance with the Fund's Program.

The public call is open until funds are exhausted, and no later than September 4, 2026.
