Public competition for awarding start-up and innovative loans to business entities in the field of information and communication technology in the Republic of Serbia in 2016

The Ministry of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications issues a public invitation to interested business entities in the field of information and communication technology (ICT) to submit requests for the allocation of credit funds, start-up and innovative loans, determined from the budget of the Republic of Serbia for 2016.

The allocation of credit funds is carried out in accordance with the Regulation on the allocation and use of credit funds for financing business entities in the field of ICT ("Official Gazette of the RS" number 16/16), which regulates the method of granting and using credit funds for financing start-ups and innovative loans in the field of information and communication technologies.

Start-up loans are granted to business entities that have been registered in the previous two years starting from the date of publication of the competition for the allocation of credit funds, while Innovative loans are granted to business entities that have been registered for more than two years starting from the date of publication of the competition for the allocation of credit funds.

Start-up and innovative loans are approved for the Development Project of a new or existing product or service from the field of ICT (Innovative Project).

The right to use start-up and innovative loans is granted to business entities registered at the Agency for Business Registers in the areas of: publishing of other software, computer programming, publishing of computer games, consulting activities within information technology, management of computer equipment, other information technology services, data processing, hosting, etc., web portals, cable telecommunications, wireless telecommunications, satellite telecommunications, other telecommunications activities.

The amount of the loan is from 300,000.00 to 1,500,000.00 dinars for entrepreneurs, and from 500,000.00 to 3,000,000.00 dinars for legal entities. Repayment period of up to four years, with a grace period of up to one year (within the repayment period of four years);

The interest rate is 1% annually, and in the grace period the interest is calculated and credited to the principal debt.
