Strengthening digital resilience in focus: CAMPUS meeting with stakeholders held in Belgrade

On April 28, 2026, a meeting was held at the Regional Agency for Development and European Integration Belgrade for the [[nt]] CAMPUS [[/nt]] project.

The [[nt]] CAMPUS project (ID 03C0957) [[/nt]] is implemented within the [[nt]] Interreg Europe [[/nt]] 2021-2027 programme, with the aim of strengthening the digital resilience of European regions through the establishment of innovative digital campuses. Regional Agency for Development and European Integration Belgrade participates in the project as a discovery [[/nt]] partner.

The meeting was opened by Branko Radan, project manager in front of the Regional Agency for Development and European Integration Belgrade, who presented the project and its key objectives.

The meeting brought together representatives of the public sector, institutions and the economy, including the Development Agency of Serbia, the Fund for Innovation Activity and the HUB 201, with the aim of presenting the project and bringing together relevant actors to exchange opinions, analyze the current situation and identify key challenges in the field of cybersecurity and digital resilience at the regional level.

During the meeting, it was pointed out that there is an established legal and institutional framework for cybersecurity in Serbia, but that there is room for its further improvement in the direction of better coordination and integrated action. A particular focus was on the challenges faced by SMEs, primarily in terms of the level of protection, available resources and the development of internal procedures.

A low level of awareness of cyber threats, both in the economy and among citizens, was singled out as an additional challenge.

As one of the lines of action, measures aimed at strengthening the capacity of the SME sector were proposed, including the implementation of phishing [[/nt]] simulations, continuous education of employees and the implementation of basic tools for cyber protection.

The meeting is the first step in establishing cooperation with relevant stakeholders and the basis for further work on improving policies and practices in the field of digital resilience within the [[nt]] CAMPUS [[/nt]] project.
