
The European Week of Entrepreneurship opened in Kombank Hall on December 9 with workshops, panels and the presentation of the best practices of domestic companies, organized by the Regional Agency for Development and European Integration Belgrade.
The two-day event was opened by: the mayor of Belgrade, prof. dr Zoran Radojičić, Snežana Radinović, director of the Regional Agency for Development and European Integration Belgrade and Aleksandra Vučković from the Ministry of Economy.
"The city of Belgrade has done a lot with the Regional Agency for Development and European Integration Belgrade (RAREI). In the period from 2018 to 2019, more than 130 trainings were carried out with over 1,350 participants, more than 900 consulting services. Over 500 business beginners and existing companies, with the support of RAREI of the City of Belgrade, received financial resources in the amount of nearly two billion dinars in grants and loans, and more than 120 startup companies received financial resources for starting their business, said the mayor of Belgrade, prof. dr Zoran Radojičić.
Director of the Regional Agency for Development and European Integration of the City of Belgrade, Snežana Radinović, said: "We are expecting a serious promotion of entrepreneurship in Belgrade, but also support for this sector. In the exhibition area of the Kombank Hall there are more than 25 exhibitors, entrepreneurs - beginners in business. This is an opportunity for entrepreneurs to present their products, to get to know each other, but also to find out what awaits them in the coming year in in terms of financial and non-financial support from the Republic of Serbia and the City of Belgrade."
The European Week of Entrepreneurship is an initiative of the European Commission, held in 37 cities in Europe, including Belgrade. This year's week is called MEETUP STARTUP and represents beginners in business.
