The Fund for Innovation Activity announced two support programs for domestic innovative companies

The Fund for Innovation Activity announced today at a ceremonial meeting in the Science and Technology Park the continuation of its two programs of support for domestic innovative companies - the Early Development Program and the Innovation Co-financing Program. The programs are intended for the development of innovative technologies, products and services with market application and great potential for commercialization.

Within Early Development Program the Fund awards grants of up to EUR 80,000 per project. The program is designed with the intention of supporting the survival of companies during the critical phase of research and development, and enable Serbian businessmen to develop effective business capacities with which to market their innovations.

Within Innovation co-financing program the Fund awards grants in the amount of up to EUR 300,000 per project. This program is intended for companies that need significant financial resources to realize the development cycle of technological innovations and to cover high costs for the transfer of research into a commercially viable product.

Companies can apply for a project from any field of science and technology and from any industrial sector. The deadline for submitting applications begins today and lasts until September 1 at 3 p.m.

Funds for the renewal of these programs are provided from the budget of the Republic of Serbia from the Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development through the Project for Improving Competitiveness and Employment, which Serbia implements in cooperation with the World Bank. A total of EUR 2.7 million was allocated for 2017.

The meeting was opened by Mr. Mladen Šarčević, Minister of Education, Science and Technological Development in the Government of the Republic of Serbia, and Duško Vasiljević, World Bank expert for private sector development, Jasna Atanasijević, acting, addressed the audience. the director of the Republic Secretariat for Public Policy, which coordinates the activities of the Project, Gordana Danilović Grković, director of the Science and Technology Park, and Ivan Rakonjac, acting director of the Fund for Innovation Activity.
