Sonja Manojlović, a member of the project team [[nt]]CAMPUS– Digital Campuses for European Resilience[[/nt]] representing RAREI Belgrade, participated on September 24, 2026, in a [[nt]]capacity-building[[/nt]] workshop “[[nt]]Strengthening Serbian Innovation Intermediaries for Interregional Collaboration[[/nt]]”, held at Ložionica – [[nt]]Innovation Hub[[/nt]] in Belgrade.
The event was organized by the [[nt]]Interreg Europe Policy Learning Platform[[/nt]] in cooperation with the Ministry of European Integration of the Republic of Serbia, with the aim of strengthening the role and capacity of innovation intermediaries in developing more connected innovation ecosystems and interregional cooperation.
The workshop covered opportunities for identifying, selecting, and accessing European interregional initiatives, such as [[nt]]S3 Partnerships, Interreg, ECCP, and Horizon Europe[[/nt]], as well as practical approaches to mobilizing, engaging, and coordinating local stakeholders through thematic working groups.
The program featured topics related to the role of innovation intermediaries in regional development, smart specialization and interregional cooperation, the Serbian innovation ecosystem, the importance of leadership and change agents, and the experiences of European regions in connecting and activating local stakeholders.
For the [[nt]]CAMPUS[[/nt]] project, the presented approaches to connecting institutions, the private sector, and other innovation ecosystem actors are particularly relevant, as are the methodologies for involving them in processes to improve regional policies. The insights gained can be useful in future project activities aimed at strengthening regional capacity, collaboration, and resilience.
