
The Government of Serbia and the European Commission signed an agreement approving Serbia 84.8 million euros from the EU-IPA pre-accession funds for 2014
The agreement was signed by the Minister for European Integration, Jadranka Joksimović, and the director of the General Directorate for Neighborhood Policy and EU Enlargement Negotiations, Catherine Vent. In December 2014, the European Commission approved 187.1 million euros to Serbia, of which agreements for funds in the amount of 102.3 million euros were signed in June 2015.
The remaining, approved funds are intended for projects in the field of state administration reform, competitiveness, energy, internal affairs, employment.
The promotion of youth employment, innovation of small and medium-sized enterprises, reduction of harmful emissions in the bloc will be financed. A4 Thermal power plants "Nikola Tesla", strengthening border control, support for compliance with EU regulations.
The largest part of the money, 65.6 million euros, will be used according to the indirect management model, which means that national institutions will implement the program, while the Ministry of Finance will be responsible for procurement, contracting and financial management.
