S. Mali: 2,000 new jobs offered at the Belgrade Employment Fair

Belgrade Mayor Siniša Mali visited Second Belgrade Employment Fair, in which 80 companies offered 2,000 new jobs. The mayor pointed out that this job fair is one of the most successful city projects. 

- Last year at this fair from 1 700 offered in one day 1,500 people found jobs. This year will be offered 2,000 jobs, different profiles and level of qualifications, which is why we expect that even more people find employment. Therefore, this Fair fully justifies its existence, especially when it comes to youth employment - said Mali.


He stated that the City of Belgrade will continue to support businesses in the capital in order to increase their competitiveness, expand capacity and hire more people.

- This year we have a record subsidies. There is currently a public call for subsidies to farmers, in May we will start with a public call for subsidies for projects in tourism, women's entrepreneurship, as well as for small and medium enterprises, and it is the policy of the city, which will not give - said Mali and thanked National employment service and the Belgrade chamber of Commerce for cooperation on the successful implementation of this project.


The event was attended by City Council member Dragomir Petronijevic, Secretary for the Economy Tijana Maljkovic, director of the National Employment Service Zoran Martinovic, President of the Belgrade Chamber of Commerce Milivoje Miletic and acting director of the Youth Center of Belgrade Nenad Dragovic, where the fair is held.

Some of the companies that will be presented are "Vulkan Publishing" , "Air Serbia" , "Catering", " Frikom ", " Bread and rolls ", " Delhaize Serbia ", " Zepter internnational " , "Ernst & Young ", " Geosonda "and" Kopaonik ", also four companies will offer professional training through professional internships for 45 young unemployed people.
