Secretariat for the Economy of the City of Belgrade in cooperation with members of the Employment Council of Belgrade, the National Employment Service, Belgrade Chamber of Commerce, the Regional Agency for Development and Integration Belgrade, Tourist Organization of Belgrade and Kolarac Foundation, is organizing the First Belgrade Women's Entrepreneurship Fair on 15 March 2016, held at the Kolarac Foundation, Studentski trg br. 5, from 10 to 20 hours. In the 18 hours it is planned a concert for all visitors and participants of the Fair at the Kolarac Music Gallery .

SMEs are the main driver of the economy of a country. For this reason, since 2010 in Serbia runs mentoring program for this type of company, that included 523 users across Serbia, to the beginning of last year. Mentoring support in 2015 received 98 beneficiaries (87 companies and 11 clusters). The program is implemented by the Development Agency of Serbia (former National Agency for Regional Development) in cooperation with the Government of Japan through Japanske International Cooperation Agency - JICA. Accordingly, on February 24 in Belgrade were declared the best mentors in 2015.

Improving employment in Belgrade through an approach based on the specific needs of citizens is the basis of the Action Plan for Employment of the city of Belgrade in 2016.

Employment Council this year is planning a series of new measures and activities that will support young people who want to start their own business, said at today's press conference in City Hall.

Serbia by the end of the year, in addition to chapters 23 and 24, relating to fundamental rights, should open and reform chapters in the negotiations with the EU, which will significantly enhance the public procurement sector, small and medium enterprise and industrial policy, said today the Minister in charge of European integration Jadranka Joksimovic. 

The Serbian government and the European Commission signed an agreement allowing Serbia approves 84.8 million euros from EU pre-accession funds - IPA for 2014.

Regional Agency for Development and European Integration of Belgrade, in cooperation with the Belgrade Chamber of Commerce and the City Municipality Vozdovac, presented the programs to support the sector of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) for the year 2016.

Regional Agency for Development and European Integration of Belgrade and Belgrade Chamber of Commerce organized on 9 December 2015 at the premises of Belgrade Chamber, the promotion of the  Europe’s programme for small and medium-sized enterprises COSME for representatives of clusters, business associations and municipalities on the territory of the Belgrade region.
